Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to be the local legal point of contact for Explera Indonesia, working closely with the country manager and with our Hong Kong headquarters, through which all group legal and statutory frameworks are governed.

You will work with tourism business licensing (NIB / OSS), the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), manpower regulations and supplier and partner contracts, and manage external counsel where needed.

Key responsibilities

1. Contracts & commercial

• Draft, review and negotiate partner, supplier and service agreements
• Align local contracts with the templates provided by the Hong Kong legal team

2. Licensing & corporate compliance

• Keep business licences, registrations and corporate records up to date
• Coordinate final approvals and statutory filings with the Hong Kong headquarters

3. Employment & data protection

• Advise HR on employment contracts, policies and disputes
• Maintain data protection compliance and respond to data requests

4. Disputes & risk

• Handle claims and complaints and manage external counsel
• Train teams on contract basics and compliance

Requirements

• Indonesian law degree (S.H.); PERADI advocate licence or in-house legal experience preferred
• 4+ years of corporate, commercial or in-house legal practice in Indonesia
• Experience with travel, hospitality or services businesses is a plus
• Bahasa Indonesia and business English (drafting and negotiation)
• Clear, practical advice that the business can act on
• Valid right to work in Indonesia
